Studio Equator
71-73 Balmain St, Richmond, Victoria, 3121, Australia
Studio Equator is a multidisciplinary design agency with a particular focus on hospitality, from bars and restaurants, to foodcourts and new fast casual brands.
Based in Melbourne’s design capital, Richmond, founder Carlos Flores spent time as a graffiti artist, and this graphic approach informs much of the visual communication in their projects. This gives their work a striking contemporary edge, with a really appealing tone of voice.
The consultancy is hugely prolific, but each and every project is very distinctive. Their work for Bluetrain, for example, combines themes of art, music, design and culture, to create an ‘industrial chic’ interior with some iconic art installation elements.
For Whites Dispensary, Studio Equator moved away from the traditional aesthetic of pharmacy retailing, to create a sustainable concept which takes graphic, material and interior design cues from other sectors including hospitality and fashion.
Studio Equator offers a full range of services from a full brand audit, creative conception, graphic design, interior design, web and multimedia design. With great attention to detail and a striking graphic approach, they are a very solid creative agency.
